At what point is someone considered a legal tenant of an apartment?

I'm not saying for sure but I think that you have to stay 30days then you are a legal tenant at least on that's what is said on some of these court shows.

They most likely are trespassing.

Have the received mail there? There are a few fine prints that may make them legal tenants.

You should call the local police dept and see what they tell you. In the end, they would be the ones removing the 'tenants' anyway.

Unfortunately you let them stay there with you, and they got you. they can stay there until your 30 day notice is up.
Happened to me. Let a friend of my wife's stay for two weeks to help her out. Two years later I had to go through a legal eviction. To get her out.
Same thing never paid ant rent or helped with anything. Once you let them move in you are stuck.

they are lying they have to be on the lease with the landlord you are legally responsible till November 30 Th....if they are still there you are responsible.....tell the landlord they won't leave the premises and he or you can call police..
the landlord has to do a walk through with you...take pics of any damage you see before you get landlord and after landlord comes if he sees damages. get something in writing right then and there from landlord that everything was OK if it is ...you can write something out on computer and print it out and have him sign it and you sign it

No...the only person responsible is the person who signed the lease. If they were friends staying with you and they did not pay you any rent your probably not gonna get any money from them. And if they were supposed live there and help with rent you might be SOL cause then you may be breaking your lease for having more people living there then what your lease says. If thats not the case then hell ya call the police and make them leave. They could be making damage to your apartment and that will come out of your deposit.

they are not on the lease. legally they shouldn't be there if your not living there. also be careful if they messed up the place you are not going to get your security deposit back and possibly sued if there is major damage. i don't know if your cool with these guys but if you don't trust them for your protection call the police and have them removed after that give the keys back to the landlord and tell them your leaving before your 30 days is up .

If you let them stay there until your 30 day notice is up it means that they can be consider a tenant and you will have to take them to court and have them evicted-call the police and tell them that you have moved out but they will not leave-check the tenants law in your state

Have the police tell them they are trespassing and the next time they come they will watch them move out!

You are still responsible for any damages that they do and they are not legal tenants anyway!

You need to find out what the SQUATER'S RIGHTS" laws are, because that's what they are to be considered.
