Atlanta: Will i get arrested?

When I was in Atlanta I received a ticket for not having my license on me when I was driving. I was not able to make the court date. I tried to pay the ticket over the phone but they would not allow me to. I heard I will have a "bench warrant"? WIll I get arrested?? How long will the warrant stand?? I don't live in Atlanta but visit from time to time. I also heard the bench warrant only stand for a few months and then it goes away???

yes it goes away, in about 7 years. you can be stopped in your home state and be arrested for an outstanding warrent. call and ask what you owe, and pay the ticket.

You want to get that taken care of. You're probably driving without a license and could end up seriously busted if you get caught. They probably won't bother, but I bet Atlanta could extradite you from your home state, necessitating several days in jail.
