Becoming a CHP Officer?

I want to be a CHP Officer but I'm only 19 and going to college. My question is if I get my bachelors in business administration will I make more money? I'm also bilingual if it helps any.

Having college credits will help you promote to a higher rank faster. And you mentioned that you are bilingual, my uncle is in the LAPD and he speaks spanish and he gets paid a little more, so being bilingual helps.
but remember, people dont usually become a police officer for the pay, they do it because becoming a police officer is a dream come true for them.

Best thing to do is check the CHP website at www.chp.ca.gov.

I don't believe they pay more initially. Once you graduate from the academy and get off your probation period, you can start earning your various POST certificates (intermediate, advanced, etc...) which mcan bump up your pay; your bilingualism might also help - but you should contact the CHP for those details.
