Best cities to work in as a cop?

i would like to be a cop in a warm weather city that treats cops well, and has a strong police union. my dad worked 25 years on the west coast and is fed up with the anti-police city. any suggestions

DO NOT work in Dallas. We all saw what happened to Officer Powell. The chief and upper command in the Dallas PD were tripping over themselves to quickly throw this young officer under the bus for making a judgment call. I hope you will choose to work for a department that will back you against an ignorant public who has little idea of what it is like to be a police officer. Unfortunately, I am afraid to many large city department police chiefs are like the coward in chief of the Dallas PD. Do some research before making a final decision. |

Mayberry, South Carolina. The Sheriff there, Andy Taylor, is super nice, fair, and smart. You would undoubtadly be a deputy there, that is if you get hired. Ok ok, just kidding of course. However it kind of depends. If you want a safe place, then a small town would be good, but i think you basically need to do some city shopping. |
