I feel safe in Britain. BNP scare tactics don't fool anyone, nor do your multiple identities.

The crime rate has dropped over the last few years. There is a problem with gun crime in certain communities and areas. I think some of the problem is that adults are afraid to talk to kids acting anti socially and there is no pressure on them to learn what is acceptable behaviour.

this is rubbish! stop listening to media scaremongering yes there is bad things happening in this country but no more so than in the rest of the world and things like gun and knife crime have not risen by much just reported more

I feel entirely safe in britain. I am a member of a local community in a major city in an average terrace house. I have been the victim of crime maybe twice in my life.

I feel safe. Best thing to do is open your mouth to the police when you witness a crime, then go and repeat it in court. That is how you put a criminal away. The police cannot do it by themselves. We are all the police.

Where the hell do you live...I feel perfectly safe thank you...don't jump on the band wagon like a lot of thoughtless people on here....This is still a wonderful country...why always do people try to do it down? Go to the top of a Welsh Mountain, the Scottish Highlands, the Lake District, North Yorkshire, Devon, Cornwall, the Home counties....Oh I get it, you are from a big city....expand your horizons please....Its like sitting in a cloud and saying the whole world is foggy.....

How is it that when people complain of high crime and fear in the community which is widley reported across the whole country,your accused of being in the BNP.Children are being stabbed,shot,abused old people being beaten up in their own homes,honest people being arrested for protecting themselves from burglars,citizens being murdered in the street trying to stop vandals.Yes this is a nation in Jeopardy.

Hi - I guess most people would respond to this question based on personal experiences. I have experienced 20+ crimes against myself, and my property, in the last 18 months.
This is happening in a relatively 'quiet' area in the South West UK. What are the police doing? Virtually nothing. I had Â£2,800 of stuff stolen and didn't even get a visit from the police. Crime figures dropping? Statistically, maybe yes, but a lot of this reduction is attributed to the changes in the way events are recorded. 'Minor' vandalism and other similar anti-social behaviour is now graded, by the police, as 'statistical crime' and, as such 'officially requires no further action'. Tell this to my neighbour that had Â£2,000 of damage done to his car and was informed, by the police, that 'this is a statistical crime and no further action will be taken'.
Also, did you know that you can report 5 similar incidents in one 12 month period and they will be logged (for example, five different events of damage to a vehicle)? After the 5th report no further similar incidents will be logged. This can only result in the inability to produce accurate crime figures. How can a true picture of crime in any particular area be monitored if all incidents aren't recorded?
I have no affiliation to any political party or extremist group, but when you only have 20% of the police on the 'front-line', and the other 80% are in 'support roles', it's time for a serious re-think about how the sytem functions.

Britain is a Nation in jeopardy - because the Inmates are now in charge of the Asylum. When a R Navy typist can get nearly Â£500,000 for a strained thumb, but a Soldier is only awarded Â£185,000 for the loss of both legs, severe brain damage and other injuries. When a robber can take you to court if you restrain him to hard while he is robbing your home. When prisoners can be awarded Â£100,000's because they were deprived of their dope while inside. It's time to pack up and run as many of have already done so for a better life elsewhere, the only answer to the problem is to lock up the ' Do Gooder's ' with the people they care about the most ie the criminals for weeks on end. Life should mean Life. Time off for good behaviour should be scrapped replaced by time added if you don't behave. These things will never happen though while everybody in charge is more concerned about the welfare of the ' underprivileged ' instead of the people who are PAYING THEIR WAGES.
