Can I be charged for anything dealing with this?

I was texting a friend of mine we will call him Fred, who was in a bar. He was saying that he didnt like any of the people in the bar and that he felt like punching some of the people in the face.
One of the people in the bar was my ex. His name can be Mark.
So i replied back to Fred, joking around "punch Mark in the face"
Well Mark found out that i made that comment to Fred and asked me why i was telling people to punch him in the face. He is pretty upset about the situation. Im afraid he will try to get me in trouble with the law. Can i get in any trouble for the comment i made??

Not likely... unless you have children and there are custody issues, then that might go into the mix.

As long as you weren't offering money and no actual assault happened, I don't think they can make a legal case.

Someone can try to sue you for anything. Or nothing. But this isn't something that they would succeed at suing you for. You can still joke around in this country as long as you're careful ;)

Also, how did Mark find out? You need a network of friends that is far less gossipy.

don't worry, sounds like you just like to cause trouble for other people. what a blank.

He could technically get a cop to visit you with a warning but you haven't done anything illegal by suggesting your friend punch someone in the face. If your friend actually did it, he could be charged with assault; I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as accessory to assault, or premeditated assault.

If by "punch in the face" you actually said "shoot him dead" then yes, that's fairly illegal.

yes you can...because the jugde will say...BUT YOU AUTHORIZE THE PUNCH ON YOUR EX...SO IF YOU WOULD HAVE SAID NO...THEN THIS WHOLE MESS WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED...

so yea you could be charged...
