I am 16 years old, and my situation is that I was at my old foreclosed home looking for my car alarm remote. I also had a friend there too because we simply stopped by to look for it because I lost it when we were moving stuff out. So I was down stairs looking for it when my friend opened the front door and saw flashlights being pointed in so he yelled "somebodies here"! And at that point I didn't know who it was and my kid instincts kicked in so I ran out the back door and booked it 5 miles to my uncles house. I then found out the next morning that they were cops! "oops", also my friend got ticketed for trespassing. So now I don't know whats going to happen to me? Am I going to get ticketed for also trespassing, and am I going to get in trouble for running from the police? Also my friend said that they never identified themselves the whole time as "police officers", they just yelled at him to open the door and sit on the floor. So can I not get in trouble for running because they never identified themselves as police officers so I didn't know which scared me and caused me to run? And can this also help my friend get out of this situation?

you can be charged but you have the right to fight it. I would be scared if someone was yelling and I didn't know if was the police. |

They didn't catch you so unless your friend gave them your name they won't know who you are. Lay low and don't sweat it yet. THey will either be looking for you or not. just know that you were trespassing so you might catch it.? |
