Can I be prosecuted for this?

I was in a city park after hours.
I did not do anything harmful, just sat there and watched the sun rise.
If I admit to this on my blog, can I be prosecuted?
What would the punishment be for trespassing? Additional Details There are posted hours for that park, and I was in a relatively visible place.
There's no police patrol, though, and no watchkeeper.

No public official is going to be seeking out your blog, looking for evidence of such heinous crimes as watching the sun rise. Blogs may or may not be admissible as evidence or self-incrimination, depending on the jurisdiction, but no one is going to come after you for this.
Even if you were caught, you would likely be asked to leave several times before you would be asked even to pay a fine, which is the standard punishment for this offence. |

They would probably not press charges. Those laws are mainly to keep kids from getting into trouble in other ways, and to allow the cops to keep the homeless people on their toes. I seriously doubt that a prosecter would waste the time and energy to take the case to court. |

i don' think so, you didn't do any harm to the park. and why should there be hours on parks? like, that is the stupidest thing ever. if you mean no harm just to sit on a bench to watch sunrise, its fine in my head. |

Hahaha...the answers on this question are freaking hilarious.
No, no one is going to waste their time trying to prosecute you for something incredibly light of an offence.
In fact, very few people most likely read your blog anyway, so I wouldn't even worry about it. |

Technically, yes, but the prosecuter would have to be an idiot to waste the court's time
on such a frivolous case. |

I would say no - but I may be wrong!
Did a quick Google search and it seems that some states have a statute of limitations for trespassing of up to four years! Granted, your state may have no statute of limitations so it wouldn't matter. Also, a police person or some one else would have to report your after reading your blog AND the police department/district attorney would have to want to spend the money to pursue it. But, really, why would they? There are probably much more grievous offenses for them to pursue. As far as punishment, if they can't connect you to any you allegedly may have committed while there, most likely just a fine. I don't even think trespass is a felony.
Personally, I really wouldn't worry about it. Maybe just leave the name of the park out of the post. |

Yes, you can be prosecuted for breathing nowadays. You have admitted it! Such a horrible crime! They will track you down and give you the electric chair now! After a fair and speedy trial, of course. |

Technically they could charge you with trespassing afterhours but realistically, they have better things to do. Even if they did, as has already been stated by others, they would be on sketchy ground since you could claim you were lying on said blog. Don't worry about it. |

If it's a city park then isn't it a public park? Their is no after hours for a city and county park because it's a public park. |
