Purple Sage (new rider)

Absolutely. You can be taken in for much less, but if you are nice to the officer and lucky (read, he/she is feeling magnanimous), you may get off with the car impounded and a cab ride. |
|

Depends on how old you are. If your under 18, I think they may just take you home. I am not real sure of this. I never went on a joy ride. Had I done this and been taken home, my mother would have killed me. |

you cant go to jail if your under 18 but if you are and you do you will probably get a big *** fine but you probably wont go to jail
dont listen to those idiots that say yes they are stupid and they are jealous that they dont have the balls to drive without a license |
|

vlad the impaler
|
no. the only way you would get arrested is if your dad reports the car stolen. or said you stole it. but if the law will do something. theyll just not let you get your licsence till your 18 or 21 |
|

honey

Yes, they do take people to jail for driving without a license. If your dad decides to press charges, you can also end up with auto-theft. |

or just do the high speed chase thing and dont get pulled over |
|

Rambo

more than that. you must be whipped by your dad for doing so. |

That's a NO NO!
That's call "Driving Without Owners Permission." That's not bad enough now tack on no license. Man! that's a real joy ride!
Jail, maybe a ride to the station (police) and the you're parent's will be called to pick you up. On the ride to the station I would suggest "keeping mouth shut" or you may be
thrown in the clinker.
Will probably have to go before the judge. You'll probably have a fine pay. If you don't then there's the warrant for arrest. Think I'd rather pay instead of hiding in the tall grass until you are caught ... and you will be caught.
By the way, when mom and/or day come to pick you up at station you might as well right off your life to them for the rest of your life.
Happy Joy Riding!! |

You would be taken into custody and made to wait at the police station until your parents come get you. The car will be impounded, and have to bailed out for lots of money. |

In Singapore, if you're below 16, your dad is the one who has to go to jail for you and get caning plus pay for damages.
It is so harsh that there is zero joyrides cases in Singapore and if you joyride and hit and kill a person, it will be the death penalty. |

Yep. |

Copgirl
|
Of course. And you go to jail. AND daddy's car gets towed. |

Best case you lose you license until you are 21.
Worst case you kill someone in a crash and go to jail for life.
Stay home. Don't be a moron. |

no maybe a ticket and fine if you haven't been in alot of trouble before. this happened to me and my friends and we almost hit a cops car he just called our parents |

Depends the laws in your state but you could louse your right to get a license in the future> |

no just a fine
and dont say anymore than your name and address
and dont think that being amicable or polite will save your skin either
they will just think you are a soft idiot and then lead you into saying all sorts of unhelpful things for yourself
it wont reach court but if you start making excuses or reasons they will sew a court worthy case together from out of what you say~you are not obliged to say anything other than your name age address,no matter how they try to deceive you into thinking different~dont forget you are dealing with a breed of rat that wants to savage you badly |

if you did you will not only get a ticket but then you will
NOT able to get a Drivers Lincese until you are (I think its 20 years old) |

no jail. you will get a ticket for not having a licence and it will go on your record. you will probably have to goto court. Maybe your dad might have to go to court to.
trust me its not worth the joy ride. what if you hit something or someone? laws are so strict. dont do that to yourself or your dad, this will effect both you and your dad for 3 or more years if you get into an accident |
|

They probably won't lock you up, but they can ask your dad if he wants them to hold you in a cell for a while, just to shake you up. Also, your dad may make you stay at the police station for a few hours just for kicks. The cops can't allow you to drive without a license. They will most likely tow the car, then take you to the station and call your dad.
I'm an ex-streetracer and ex-stuntbiker so I know police. Honestly....you want to be on your dads good side when your old enough to get your license, trust me. |
|

rome
 |
Yes I'm sure your dad would not give you permission to take his car with no license, so you could get arrested for grand theft auto. |
|

SHARI
 |
Yes! Also, how could you disrespect your father that way! |
|

Dottie R
 |
YES! Even if you're of age, you could be charged with theft. If you're of age to have a license, it'll probably be considered theft or robbery even if your dad forgives you and doesn't press charges. |
