Can I get my iPod back?

If I lost say an iPod Touch on my school bus and someone found it and i knew they had it but they wouldnt give it back to me can i take them to court and prove beyond reasonable doubt that it is my ipod can i get it back?

It would cost you more in court cost than the ipod is worth.
Report it stolen to the police and say who you suspect took it.
Even though you left it on the bus, it is still theft.
If you have the receipt for the ipod, you should be able to prove ownership by the serial number on the unit.

if you have your receipt that shows your serial number sure you can do that and say look they have my ipod I have the receipt that shows that I bought it. But if you have that you could just show it to the person and they would give it up because you could say. Yo DUDE IM CALLIN THE POLICE. They would give it up. :)
