Can I join the police?

I am an Irish citizen, I am wondering what I want to do after school, I want to join the English Police force, Can I?? I don't want to join the Irish Police force.. Is it possible for me to join the English Police?

Do you live in Ireland or England?

You can't apply to join most Constabularies without living in the counties they represent most of the time.

You are European citizen and as such you can do pretty well what you want . Although I think your country would dredge up some law to stop an Englishman from joining the Irish force !

Ireland is part of the EU so u are eligible to live and work in England but i don't know if you can join the police force in England.
If you can live there and do any other job there i should imagine so :)

yessss you are still in europe and that means you are a member of the european union giving you the right to work anywhere in europe, england included. No problem there are tons of paddyz in the police.

It is possible not not very likely seeing how you have to apply and be approved for a green card which could take anywhere up to a year then you need to have a college degree and if you have one from Ireland it most likely will not be valid here meaning you will have to take extra classes here to get extra credits so in the end it is possible but if is very difficult if not impossible with some dept.

If your a Irish Citizen and live in Ireland, I don't think it is that easy to join the English police, you will have to go through all the immigration and stuff.

I can't say anything about the English but for 200 years the Irish have always made great officers in the US. Come on over.
