Yep. |

Uhhhhh.....yeah.
Just because there is nobody there, does not give you the right to violate the law.
By that logic, you could burglarize a home because the owner is away on vacation. |

Chris L
yup, cause the law says so, and the law is the law even though no one is around. i think it is kinda anal retentive too, but thats how they are. |

does the law say you have to signal? Yes it does. If the cop sees you, then you weren't the only person on the road, now where you?? |

Ben B
Yup. The law is very clear and is not altered by the time of day and how busy you think the road is. |

If you're too damn lazy to turn on your signal ... or too stupid to ... you really shouldn't be driving. It obviously WASN'T "only you" if a cop pulled you over for failing to signal. |

BSG
Absolutely, and it is more likely to happen late at night. (Think like a cop, this is the time most people are out partying.) You can also get pulled over for going one mile an hour over the speed limit, or too slow, too if they really feel like it. |

They can and do all the time, that's why you should dress in a suit and tie,and dont drive a hot rod or old rec ks,they can burn you for that./////OR you can go the other way smile a lot say no habla ) don't answer any questions look confused don't show them anything ,a good chance he will let you go.put a few pasos on the dash bord. |

David M
Yes, although if you were signaling with your arm, you might be able to fight it. Though due to it being at night, you might not win that fight. |

You obviously weren't the only one on the road as you said...if the cop saw you. |

glock310
yes they can pull u over because u have defective equipment on your car and it is good probable cause to pull u over to see if u are ok and to warn u for the light or give u a courtesy warning or use the light as a probable cause to lead to other things such as DUI or other offenses |

Yes. Because YOU BROKE THE LAW!!!
Turn in your license you have shown that you don't deserve it. |

tardis1977
Laws are laws. Period. You broke a law and got caught
Deal with it. |

I understand that it shouldn't be so- who are you going to kill? a spirit?
But, the law is the law and we should abide it at all times. |

maguire1202
Absolutely!
People not using their turn signalers is one of my pet-peeves. It's not like it takes that much effort! Communicate with drivers around you - it's safer for everybody. |

Jawsh3539
If you have to ask this question you're probably to dumb to be driving. |

scruffycat
I don't see why not. If it's a state law that you need to use your blinker, and you didn't use it, then what's the problem?
Using a turn signal is a good habit to have. You shouldn't have to even think about it, or you might forget to use it when there are people around. |

Skiatook911
If you turn without signaling, yes. |

don't matter if the road is empty or busy, law is the law, the fine or court appearance is the same |

Poor cfb0500 got a ticket for failing to obey the law and, of course, wants to know if the cop could do such a horrible thing to poor little cfb0500.
Do you have a driver's license? Do you know the rules of the road?
Go to court and ask the judge this same question and HOPE he/she doesn't increase the fine to the maximum. |

nickle
and why wouldnt they be allowed to do such a thing. |

'lil peanut
Well if it is only you on the road than there would not be a problem then but if it is you and a cop, yes the cop can pull you over and give you a ticket, He/she probably will not buy why take a chance, they Can do so |

El Mas Quentona
Yes, its required by law. And some cops are just bored at nite, most or some would have let you go. |

Taylor G
The poster "Bobbi" lied to you, and she should be very ashamed of herself. Cops do not have the right to "pull over whomever they want whenever they want"--that is ILLEGAL, unconstitutional, and grounds for immediate dismissal. The police can only pull you over if they've witnessed you commit a crime or have a reasonable suspicion that you're about to commit a crime. |

?
Oh you youngsters are soooooo funny. They can pull you over for whatever reason they want. |
