I live with my husband, who went to renew his lease and put me on it. When they ran the background check, I came up in the system. Now I had a case before that never went to court. The case even got dropped. I have another case that im currently on probation for, and when the probation is up the case will also get dropped. My husband is the income and its basically his apartment. He just wanted to put me on as resident. After I proved to them my situation they then tried to tell me its my credit. So Im thinking i have a case here possibly. Who can i contact and are they any lawyers who ask for their money after winning the case. Thank you

ok to say that i am a misfit to society.. shut the fuk up.. with ur passing of judgement.. if you must know... the first case got dropped becuz THEY (cops and all) made a mistake... and so with this case... lol... I cant believe the mentality you have you ignorant infant. I will tell you this.. the law only benefits the wrong people. And if you have already been living in a place for a year for them to now come up with every excuse is retarted.. i talked to a legal aid.. and actually its considered discrimination. SO GOOD JOB ON YOUR ANSWER.. IT WAS SO EDUCATED!

Bottom line is, the landlord does not have to accept you for ANY reason they wan't to. You can't sue them. It is thier property, and they decide who is stable enough to live there. Whether it be credit, criminal, or any other reason they see.
Guess this should be a lesson to you STAY OUT OF TROUBLE you are considered a misfit to society and it will affect you trying to obtain employment, or a place to live with a record. Why should they want you there with a criminal record, or bad credit??? You are on probation for a reason, it seems as though you think you did nothing wrong?
Got a piece of advice for you, a judge does not put people on probation just because he feels like it.
Reply: Educated is not being on probation! Also, whenever the lease is up, it is up to the landlord of whether or not he wants to re-lease to you, and apparently he don't! Not much you can do about it, I am glad you talked to an $8.00 an hour legal aid that gave you advice. He/She is probably on probation too. |

If both your names are on the lease then you are both responsible, separately and together for the rental payment. If your credit is bad, and I am guessing it probably is with your legal problems, then the landlord can legally refuse to lease to you. |
