If a person is rushing someone to the hospital but forgoing an ambulance, can one call for a police escort to prevent things like the Moats/Powell incident or other misunderstandings?

Call an ambulance and a 2 way trip is required.
Go to the hospital oneself, a one way trip is required.
That is why cops and EMTs are stupid, they can't add.

NOPE. You sick, call an ambulance. We can work on you and go fast and go through red lights, legally. You'd be excited and distracted by the person next to you. Secondly, the moats/powell incident was b.s. There where numerous incidents where someone is being pulled over and they may have something on them that they may not want the cops to find. Hey, im a mile away from the hospital, I've got 2 strikes and I have a kilo on me. Im going to floor it to the hospital and say that my mom is dying. Even if the cop proves that he was lying by following him, all the guy needs to do is break line of sight for a second to dump whatever he has. Thats why the cop did what he did. People do that and abuse the good nature of people and make cops uneasy to see REAL poeple have a true emergency like he did. |

No. For the last time, no, you can't get a police officer to escort you to the hospital because someone is dying. There's a reason why people call ambulances and there's a reason why people get to the hospital well before their loved ones die, instead of waiting until the last minute. |
