You can say anything you want, but you never know what reaction you are going to get. Do you feel lucky today? |

Of course anyone can say anything he/she wants to anyone on earth - as long as consequences are not important. |
|

Why would you want to? Quit breaking the law and it shouldn't be a concern... |
|

Raven

yes as long as you're willing to get hit upside the head. |

In some places cursing in public is a crime. There was an individual arrest, tried and convicted in Michigan recently.
You cannot incite a riot, either. |

If you threaten him, he has a right to arrest you for assaulting a police officer. If you invite him to fight, the same thing is likely to happen. |

You mean legally, don't you?
No, you can't. You can't say anything that you want to anybody, though. There's such things as slander, harassment, inciting to riot and so on. With the police you get into things like interfering with a police officer in the course of his duty.
All rights have their limits because there is a point where, when exercising them, they will intrude upon someone else's rights. |

You can if you want to go to jail. Why would you want to curse at a cop anyway? Being irate or irrational isn't going to solve your problem. |

Nope, I got arrested for speaking my mind to a cop who was harrassing me outside of a night club. |
|

Ha Ha Charade You Are...................

I wouldn't. Especially if you are alone, they do what they want to do. |

Yes, you can, if you can afford a Lawyer, bond, and the lost of work while appearing in Court. |

It depends, is what you are saying is threatening, are you in the officers face when you speak your mind.
If you walk right up to an officer and yell, "F**K-off" into his face you will get arrested. This will be viewed as an attempt to threaten the officer and you will be seeing the inside of a cell pretty quick. |

Maybe they were pressing their authority but I never got the impression I could say anything. I busted out laughing once and that was enough to tick him off....he was sniffing my art eraser as if it were some drug or something........no....I just treat them with respect.....their job is hard enough. |

You bet! If he arrests you just for being mouthy, he is violating your civil rights and you have a solid reason to file a grievance against him for abuse of authority and maybe even show of force
How the pigs get around that is by provoking you to scream, make a threat, hit them or do something else, then arrest you for that.
And if any ever arrested a citizen for cursing or calling him names, he took advantage of ignorance of his civil rights.
But just for calling them names, no. They can't |

You cannot swear at a cop when there are other people around to hear. It has something to do with undermining his authority. I know firsthand. |

You can say anything to a cop as long as it is not threatening. |
