Not at all. Asking to see his/her weapon is not a criminal offense. I'm sure you have more common sense than to put your hand on, or even act like your going to attempt to remove their weapon, so no point in chiming in on that. I've had kids ask me about my gun plenty of times. I'll tell them about it, and they can look all they want, as long as they don't ask me to pull it from it's holster. |

There is no law against it but an officer may see this as a sign that you are an idiot and arrest on principle. |

No it's not true, and no police officer will let you see his gun for a number of different reasons, the main one being officer safety. |

No. It looks like any other Glock. |

No.....no reason to. All they would do is say O.K. or no.... |

Most officers will just tell you to find someone else to harass |

You won't get arrested but you'll definately be told 'No' by the officer. |

If you commit an arrestable offense, an officer will arrest you. Asking to see a cop's gun isn't necessarily one of them. They will probably just tell you no and laugh at you for asking something so dumb. At least, that's what I'd do. |

No, you can ask a police officer anything you want. They won't arrest you for that. They will probably just say no. |

yea....i pretty sure they wont...unless you get really aggressive and try to grab it from them |

Not unless you are rude or try to grab it or something. But they'll probably say no. |

No, you won't get arrested, but will they show you their gun, most likely not. |

LOL No only an officer who wants to lose his job would do it. As others have said please don't try and grab it sure way to have an officer hurt you physical or shot. Depending on the officer and how old you are they may see it as a come on and ask you out, so that may be a plus.

I just asked my boyfriend this question and he said, "I'd say no. But I might get annoyed and hit them in the head with it!"
It kinda depends on the situation...just walking up to one on the street, a definite no but you can look at it in the holster. If they are in a good mood they might tell you about it. Off duty, if you happen to befriend a cop and are over at their house, they may clear it and show it to you...its a toss up. |

course they can't---but if you touch it w/out their concent? that's another story. besides it's real inmature to ask q's like that---cops hate it. wouldn't you?---"can i touch your gun?" |

If you realized that a police officer is responsible for his weapon, that a gun is a deadly weapon, and it is only carried while he /she is on duty to protect "you", you might realize that the answer would be "don't even ask!" If you went to grab the gun from his/her
holster: yes, you would be arrested and booked. |

Depends if he's in uniform or off duty, whether the lights are on or off... and if you tell him you want to see it because it's so long and firm he WILL use the cuffs on ya! ;-} |
