The warrant and service unit is essentially made up of undercover cops with a specific purpose.
They are police who don't wear a uniform or drive a police car, as in they wear normal clothes and drive a normal car. Their purpose is to track down and arrest people who are supposed to have been arrested but weren't. They work for the San Fransisco police department.
The central warrants bureau keeps records of major crimes (armed robbery, murder etc, but nothing small like vandalism), they also make sure that the police knows who to look for. They arrest people who should have been arrested for a while.
Honestly though, kids aren't that stupid, they would understand the article unless you are trying to teach this to a five year old. |
