Can cop break into your car without a warrranty?

how do you know it was the cop, it might have been someone who walked by and took the ticket from the outside and put it inside. You would probably get asked that in court.

Did you say your car is without a warranty? It might cost you. But, if your car is still under warranty, you can take it in to get that noise looked at for free.

I don't know about anyone else but if it's my car, I should be the one with the warrenty, not the cop....or anyone else. That is unless they wanna pay for the warrenty.

If the car is new, the warrenty should still be in affect, moreso if you purchased an extended warrenty. But why would a cop need a warrenty on your car in order to break into it?

when will you people start thinking is your memory so short you don't remember when Clinton came on T,V, and asked for authority to search the gov, housing projects for drugs or guns on the preface they could get rid of them before they could go and get a warrant? that was a damned lie, a cop in hot pursuit has always been able to go into a house , car or any where else with out a warrant or even the plain sight doctoring gave them this authority, some states don't permit it , but it is a federal law the cops can search your house , car or any where they like without a warrant,even your person so the 4th amendment is not really worth a sh.. thanks to Billy boy

I don't know if you could sue but if anyone including a police officer enter your car it is completely illegal. Yes if you are parked illegally you get a ticket,but does not give a police officer the right to enter your vehicle as it is private property.But i have know doubt the officer will say the door was already unlocked when he arrived.The officer could in theory enter the car but would need probable cause,being parked incorrectly is not cause to enter the car.Was the car locked when you returned to it,if so would almost prove it was entered illegally then relocked.GOOD LUCK

If your car was locked and he forced entry without a search warrant, he was wrong and it's considered illegal search and seizure.

This is most likely the parking department not the police,

But most likely your car was unlocked, they would not open the car to put a ticket inside of it.
