I was speeding the opposite direction of the cop but he did not pull me over. I can see him slow down and pull to the side but did not turn on the siren or lights and chase me down.
CAN HE SEND HOME A TICKET?!?

Nope he can not he has to pull you over to do that. The only way they can send a ticket home is if you spend through a stop sign or light and they have a pic of your license plate...Hope that helps.... |

The answer is a bit complicated. Even if he got your license plate number, he would need some other sort of evidence to prove that it was indeed your car on the odometer, as well as the road he clocked you on.
However, you can indeed be issued a ticket through the mail. You don't have to be present when the ticket is issued. This is the same law that allows police to issue parking tickets and the citations often stemming from cameras set up to photograph cars that run red lights. |

If a cop were to give you a ticket, he would have given it to you while you were still on the road. If he did send a ticket to your house, who is going to get charged for it? Consider yourself lucky this time but you may not be so lucky next time. |

If he did not pull you over then no, he probably contemplated pulling a u-turn and chasing you. But if he did not, then you are in the clear. If you dodged him though (like he turned on his lights and you kept going) then he can send you a ticket. But since he didnt turn on his lights, you are fine. |
