If you were convicted of a crime it will be difficult, but it depends on what the crime was and the police department that you want to work for. |

If the arrest occurred as a juvenile, BEFORE you blew out the 18th birthday candle--given it was on a MISDEMEANOR charge, then I'd say you have less a chance than someone w/ a clean record.
If AFTER your 18th birthday, you were arrested / found guilty on a misdemeanor charge, you then have a GREATER LESS chance of being hired.
If at ANY TIME in your life, you were arrested / found guilty of a FELONY--especially a VIOLENT OFFENSE, then you need NOT apply. |
