What a brat you are. I cannot believe you would hit your mom because she made you mad.
You're like the little brat who called the cops on her mom because her mother slapped her for being a disrespectful little snot.

I hope she does press charges against you, you would deserve it. You have no idea how hard it is to be a parent, especially when you have a brat for a child like yourself.

I think a few days in jail might make you respect your mama like you should.

She should call the cops and press charges. In a couple of years you will be looking at time in prison for the same offense. Grow up and learn to treat people with respect.

Well if she will not press charges it should not be as bad as it could be however if she goes to the hospital you inevitably will most likely be in some sort of trouble be it probation or whatever it is, that is domestic violence/ assualt and battery

"Aggravating the f***" out of you does not warrant punching someone in the face, legally.

There are specific instances when you can hit another person. This is not one of them.

if you dont get along what so ever and you and her just want to cut ur ties you have two options
the best is to have her sign over gaurdinship to one of your freinds parents. the other is to get emancipated.
the only thing about getting emancipated is when they say on your own. they mean on your own no money from mom and no money from uncle sam.

You're lucky that you were born just a few years ago, because back in the day after hitting your mom you'd be getting up out of the floor in the middle of the next week.

You can get in trouble for hitting anyone. Even if she doesn't press charges, if she tells the doctor or the police who hit her then the state can press charges on you. If you get away with this take it as a learning experience and keep your hands to yourself!

my ungrateful 15 year brat stepdaughter hit me in the head last week in public, after she thru a tantrum like a 3 year old because she didn't want to get into the car and we where running her life. the police pressed family violence charges against her and she has a court date next month, she has already been in trouble for shoplifting so she will probably spend a month or two in juvi (jail)

Unfortunately, since she won't press charges, nothing will happen. The only thing that could probably happen is you being grounded, depends what types of punishment your mom gives. If your mom did call the police, you would have been arrested for assault and battery. If I were her I'd call the police so fast, just so you could learn a lesson or two. Goodness, whats wrong with kids these days, I'd NEVER disrespect my mom.

Despite anything that is going on, why would you hit your mother? Amazing. Ofcourse you can and should get in trouble for hitting your mother. If this is a sign of how you deal with stress and agitation, then you are going to have a long and miserable life.
Hopefully your mom comes to her senses and gives you some much needed time in the juvie court system so you can learn that when you become an adult, there are better ways to solve your problems, rather than hitting someone. Many years from now you will truly realize that despite any friends you may have, no one cares and loves you like your family. The rest are just extras.

As many of your answers to your question state, "of course you could get in trouble", big trouble. But more than that, you should be ashamed of yourself! There is nothing your Mother could do or say to make it OKAY to hit her. She's your Mom for Gods sake! You obviously have no RESPECT for your mother which is all too common with todays society. Oh to all these people saying this person should BURN for hitting there mom and how they've never disrespected their mom, you need to GET OVER IT!!! Of course I don't condone this person hitting their mom, no one should hit ANYONE. But for those of you who are saying you've never disrespected your mom, please! Everyone argues and and yells occasionally, that's part of REAL LIFE! And no mother has any right to hit her child either.
