first, cali jails r scary........... and i have heardf stories,,,,,,
I got into an accident with this other womans car. my mom was out of town due to business. she is a doc at a uni. i took her new mercedes out. anyways i got into an accident with this womans car while i was lookin for my cell.. no injuries, but both cars were damaged. i had 2 beers i drank in the car and that was it. i have a drivers permit not a liscence here in cali.
my mom is pretty down. she'll pay for anything. but will the judge see it this way? i have no money nor an account by myself... basically i want my mom to take care of it all for me. i mean if i go to court, i obviously aint paying the fine. lol, in all honestey, this lady should have to pay for my repairs, afterall my car is a merc.......

You are immature and if you think that the type of car you drive should make a differnce in your level of responsibility while driving it, you don't deserve to use the Merc. You should get a jalopy so you can find some humility and learn responsibility. You admit drinking and you are sooooo sure that mommy will take care of everything. Shame on you for costing your mother money and possibly increasing her insurance rates. You are immature and irresponsible. I hope you grow up soon. Your insurance is gonna cost an arm and a leg so get a JOB princess.. |

The court will see that you were at fault and usually if you go to court costs and fines are HIGHER because of the court fees you have to pay and, in this case, if the judge is able to see your true character he/she may give you a nice large fine to set an example. Here's hoping. |

I'm not sure if you will go to jail. If you aren't 21 and drinking alcohol that is a big problem and a criminal offense. Normally this will just delay you getting a driver's license and a fine. I'm not sure on your state, but in most states you can not have open intoxicants (beer that you had) in a car and is another misdemeanor. Driving without a license is normally just a fine. If you were driving and not watching the road because you were looking for your cell is inattentive driving which is another fine. You having an accident on top of all this you might get probation. It doesn't matter what kind of car you have if you don't have a valid driver's license or meet the requirements of your permit you shouldn't be driving. Asking someone else to pay for the repairs for a mistake you made is totally uncalled for. If you don't want to go to jail you should change your attitude because if a judge sees it they will be harsh with you. |
