Can police escort me out of my fathers home?

ok see im 15 and well my mother is my legal guardian but she thought it be better if i went with my dad for a little bit because she didnt have much money and wouldnt be able to pay for cheerleading etc.

well now my dads just beign rude and yeling and screaming at me for nothing all the time! i literally dont do anything! i come home from school and sit on the couch and watch tv till bed time because if i go in my room he yellsat me that im trying to hide and i just cant take it anymore

so i told my mom idc about the whole not being ableto have much so long as i was with her! but the problem is im super afriad of my dad( he used to beat my mom and likes to say hes ognna smile if someone kills her one day!) and im just afraid of him, is there anyway the police could escort me so i could collect my belongings?

and also he has a tiny storage with a few bags of mine, could they escort me there too?

i would like the police to escort me and my mom to get mys tuff, she is wanting to drive down to my dads to come get me, but im afraid to get my stuff because he will most likely scream and yell and im afraid he will harm my mom.

Its strikes me as a bit strange that your mother would put you into care of a man who allegedly beat her, just because she cannot pay for your cheer leading, to my way of thinking neither parent seems to want to take responsibility, and you are stuck in the middle.

If you are that frightened of living with your father i really think you need to explain this to your mum, that your not bothered about having cheer leading you just want to be back with her, if there is any reason she wont take you back i would speak to another relative or teacher and don't be afraid to voice your concerns.

Remember this break up is not your fault and you should not be stuck in the middle, and your parents should be at least grown up enough and responsible enough to set aside their differences, and concentrate on bringing you up

Do you have a trusted counselor at school, church or somewhere in the neighborhood? You might tell someone you are afraid and get some support to stand with you if your mom won't come. You do NOT have to live in fear. I suggest some support before you calling the police, because sometimes they react rather than act.

Verbal abuse is still abuse. Get some help.

Escort you to where? You are only 15, so technically you may not go out on your own. You need to contact your Mom and let her work this out with you.

If your Dad has harmed you, then you have legitimate grounds to be concerned and should call the police to report the crime. If he just yells at you and insults your Mom, then he may be rude, but he has not committed a crime.

Your Mom will have to contact the police, and request the escort for you or both of you. Unless your father is physically assaulting you, the police can not do anything legally. They are bound by law, not to act, unless called upon.

yes it is a fear of domestic violence, only if your mom is with you and only personal items. You and your mom may have to go to civil court to obtain the remainder of your items. Check the laws from your state.

Your mother should call the non-emergency line for the dept in your area, they may or may not be willing to help if your father is not being aggressive. If you have heard him make threats regarding your mother, there is the possibility that the two of you could get a restraining order.

I think it is a STUPID line of reasoning though regarding the cheerleading. If he REALLY wanted to be helpful, he could have paid for it regardless. Requiring you to live with him to help financially is ridiculous in my opinion and was more about the power.

Was he paying child support? If not, he is legally obligated to do so.

As for you, at 15, you can babysit and if you talk to the school they might be able to help either by reducing the cost of participation or helping you find work to help pay for it. Consider putting on 'cheerleading classes' through the local elementary schools or something where the money raised goes towards reducing the costs for all of the team.... there are ways around it and if you guys did that as a fundraiser, perhaps you could have fun with your friends at the same time.

Once you are 16, you will be able to work and if you are wise with your money, you can use that to pay the cost as well. I know being an athlete and student takes a lot of time, but you could work 10-15 hours a week and that would be about 400 a month.

You're going to have to get in contact with children's services for something like this. You can report it annonymously so your dad wont ever know it was you who called. Just try to stay out of his way until then and not give him a reason. Sorry you have to go through this. My dad was neglectful to me for a long time and children's services took me right out of there one week after being called. They wont think you're making it up, they're trained to recognize things like this. So call them before he gets violent and something aweful happens.
