That will vary, depending on the department.
Anytime an officer in our county makes a traffic stop, the dispatcher enters the location and plate number. If the plate number is already in the computer, a "HIS" (history) message appears. By clicking on it, the dispatcher can get a list of dates and times the plate was stopped. The dispatcher can then advise the officer.
This information is on the county computer only. If you are stopped in another county, the officer will not know. |

warnings typically stick to your record for 6 months.
some departments create their own computer records of contact with citizens when there is a report filed for accidents, crimes, traffic citations, warrant service, city code violations and traffic warnings. these records are usually just for that specific department's use and not available to other police agencies. it just depends on how meticulous that department is. |

If they give you a warning then they wont write it up or record it anywhere. they will however look up to see if you have any other tickets. |

It depends on the agency and state.....
Although every traffic stop will show up on a officer's unit history, it shows up only in that one place - and it doesn't show up for other officers in your same jurisdiction. Since warnings don't go beyond the local agency, you don't have anything to worry about - even if you had previous tickets.

Ha! I wouldn't know because the officer ALWAYS decided to go ahead and give me a ticket. But I am almost sure that they can look in their records for past warnings. |

yes they can they can write down your lisense plate # and pull it up later . but here's atrick If they give you a ticket and their not in full uniform you can rip up the ticket and not get in troble , but remeber to tell them that them not being in full uniform allows you to do that. |

I know in Anne Arundel county we can check priors for tags. If you have been pulled over expect for an officer to know about it and priors on a tag will generally be purged after a year. |
