Can somebody seriously tell me how to survive without a dirvers license?

Where I live many do drive without dirvers license or insurance. Seems at best a few days in jails. some fine. Best to do, check all signal lights,head lights, tail lights. Always drive just below the limit. In short ensure everythibg works on the car.

I have my passport and no license. I live in NYC so I rely on public transit and am good at begging rides or using ride boards.

I live in a small city and don't have one. I ride to work with my neighbor (because I live way to far away to walk!) and I walk/take a bus if I need something. I just have a state issued ID for ID sort of things. It is REALLY hard to not have one tho.

constitution was written 200 yrs ago, when this country was a fraction of the size it is now and people's word was a very very valuable thing. plus it was easier to know everyone in your area, family lines, etc.

You're not talking about just driver's license, but also ID card, right?

Well, besides not driving, you can't board a plane without picture ID, or cash a check, to name 2 things that spring to mind.

If you look in your teens or twenties, you can't drink without ID.

Are you really going to plan your life based on the notion that the stuff in Revelations is true and is happening soon?

People have been saying it's approaching for a long time and it still hasn't happened.

I THINK you are legally required to have valid ID.

But, even if all that nonsense happened, wouldn't you be one of the one's to float up to heaven before it all comes down?

You can't.

The GOP controlled Congress passed the "Real ID Act" last year and Bush signed it into law.

Its only a matter of time before Congress votes to make it manditory to implant RFID chips in every newborn child (the excuse being for protection from pedophiles) and ultimately in adults.
