If they're name is uncommon, yes.
If it's Jose and you're trying to find him in Southern California, it'll probably be easier finding a marble at the bottom of the ocean! hahaah |

haha.. no it's not possible to get traced by your first name.. not unless the cops look into every nook and crany for all Toms or something in a city. it might be possible if u know what the person looks like but then again i watch too much CSI...lol
Hope i answered ur question! |

Ha, it's hard enough finding a person when you have their first AND last names. There are so many robert foster's in michigan, it's incredible. Narrowing that down would make it impossible!
Try searching for yourself in an online people search, it will show your friends how difficult a first name only search would be! |

MAYBE IF A VERY UNIQUE NAME, AND YOU GO AROUND ASKING IN CITY THEY LIVE DO YOU KNOW THIS PERSON.... BUT NOT JUST DOING A GENERALIZED SEARCH, SEARCHES WILL ASK FOR LAST NAME AND IF POSSIBLE FIRST OR AT LEAST INITIAL |
|

TROUBLE

i doubt it unless its a real small county and they have an unusual first name i reckon |

What have you done this time, warly?
I thought I told you to give yourself up! The police will reduce your sentence if you give up!

it would be very very hard to search for someone by using just their first name because theres hundreds of people with the same name.. if you had more to go on with like the country, state, suburb or birthdate.. it might be possible yet it still will be hard. |

like grabbing at straws. You need a last name and if you have a ssn will help immensely. Do you have any idea how many people live in a county with the same first name. there are enough with same first and last to make it very difficult to find the right person. |

Usually they use phone numbers, credit card transactions, social security number inquiries, fingerprints or drivers license photo.I know of four other people with my same first and last name. The ONLY difference is location and middle initials. It's also hard to track someone using an alias.Tracing my family tree also brought out misspellings, clerical errors, and several people in adjoining counties with similar names. |

Not enough information to run any kind of background states. To vague information. Unless, you are talking about one name like Madonna, Cher or Puffy. |
