Can someone please answer my question about BORDER PATROL!?

Does anyone know how strict the rules are to be a border patrol. my friend applied, passed the written and then was told after they told him he passed the test that because he admitted to doing drugs, that he no longer is eligible. that makes no sense to me considering they let him take the written test. didnt they know this information before they allowed him to take the test? please help. thanks.

Usually, when this happens, it is because information is obtained indicating the drug use was more serious than what the person admitted to.

More then likely a background investigator didn't even get to his information till after he took the exam

After that they started to review his application for potential
consideration for furthering the hiring process

The drug use sent up a red flag and depending on A) the quantity or type of drug her used or B) how long ago he used will be DQ him from further consideration
