CallerID and Google work great together. You should try it sometime.
And the police should be the least of your concerns. They may vandalize your home, slash your tires, or burn your house down. |

well if they are not bluffing (which most likely they are lol) then the cops can charge her with phone harassment. lmao my friend had a phone harassment charge for cussing her sister out on the phone and her sister called the cops on her after my friend beat her ***. lol |

Police don't come for prank calling. And if they do its because they're having a VERY slow night.
IF they do come - don't worry. They'll just give you a talking to and be on their way. |

if they have caller id they can do a reverse look-up on your number through yellow pages.com. that way they have your phone number address and your parents name. |

they wouldnt send the cops just for a prank phone call. theyre just trying to scare you out of prank calling them in the future |
|

Whoa Buddie?!
|
the police would not visit your house for prank calling unless your sister was frequently calling one person. im talking about frequently during the day everyday. other than that nothing will happen. |

Unless your sister threatened someone I do not see the police coming to your house for a prank call. They can find your house based on your phone number from the caller ID but I seriously doubt the police will waste their time to come teach her a lesson. The most I would think they would do is call your parents or maybe send a letter but I don't think they would even do that. I think the person your sister called was trying to teach her a valuable lesson of respecting others and not doing something as silly as prank calling them. Sounds like they might have accomplished their goal of scaring her in to not doing it again. |

The guy is wrong about needing the phone company. If you call me, I can have your address in 10 seconds, unless your caller ID is turned off - then it takes about 2 minutes. |

It's an empty threat. |

I know they can come in a case like this, but with a kid, they just usually give a warning not to do it again. And if the lady had call ID and wanted to report your sis it is possible to get your address. But I wouldn't worry.

Yep, they came when I did it and I was 13. They called our parents and made us anwser lots of questions. I was grounded for making prank calls too. |

they can *69 you and get your phone number.
after they have you # they can go to whitepages.com and do a reverse number look up and get your name and address. Or if she used a cell phone they can get the name of the cell carrier and make a complaint that way. Your sister could get in trouble for harassment.
I wouldnt let her near my phone anymore if I were you. |

They can trace the phone number, which in turn can be traced to your address - they just have to ask the phone company.
Prank calling is a minor crime though, you won't get more than a slap on the wrist. Relaax, we've all committed crimes at some point in our life. |

They can trace your phone number, but your sister could use a spanking right about now. That person probably only said that to scare her. |

caller id the person you pranked gives the number to the police and they can find out from there where you live and so on as far as getting in trouble how many times has she got caught doing it that will mean a lot and there are many different things they can do |

NO shes ok.
Its only a prank call, I alike thousands of others have done countless number of these.
Police dont have time to waste it on this...what would they do any way, slap you on the wrist?!
the ladys just trying to scare you.
Basically this is all that could happen.
If your number is not on private and she has in ID reader, she can ring the number back at a later stage when one of your parents answers and tell them about it...
Other wise if your numbers on private there is nothing she can do.
so dont fret

They could look your number up in the phone book if it's from a land line.I doubt they will call the cops they will tell you that so you will quit calling but I won't try again. You sound like a minor you wouldn't be taken to jail but if hey got you address they would come talk to you.Be careful a prank call is not worth a a talk with the cops and a few weeks of being grounded for having the cops called to you address. |

The police are not going to come to your house...they are trying to scare you! They can only do something if the phone company starts putting a trace on your number and record everytime you call. Then the "victim" has to contact the police to receive the report from the phone company. Unless you called consistently over weeks or months, it's likely the "victim" never thought to call the phone company first. |
|

Oh Julia
|
i think they can.
idk, police has tricks up there sleeves.
i suggest you tell your bratty little sister to
call them up and apologize.
that way
the police,
and the neighbor will understand. |
