recently applied at our local police department and upon filling out a personal history statement they asked to please write down any crminal activity that we have ever done or commited but was not caught by the poilce. They said they were not on a fishing expedition and just neded to see how honest we were , So I went ahead and admitted to several minor things I had done in the past, under age drinking, passing a red light, things like that.
In addition I mentioned that 7 years ago in college i hung around the wrong people and on 3 differant occassions the guys broke into cars and took steros while the girl ( Girlfriends) waited in the car I being one of the girlfriends. I had to sign a paper stateing all this. This is not something I was very proud of but I did do it I was being honest and It happened 7 years ago, now I was told that my application was deemed unsuitable due to criminal activit and will never be able to appy again . Can they still take action and arrest me for admitting to something like this?

If no charges were filed against you by the victim then no. Also, you need to look into the statue of limitations for this offense in your state. |

Yes, never ever confess to a crime, the cops say they can help you, or that it doesnt matter but in the end they will screw you. If they can't prove it, don't tell them anything. Cops are greasy, if your going to be a criminal make sure your smart about it. |
