I know what you mean, and the first guy got it right.
If you think about it though, every con volunteered, by deciding
voluntarily to do sometime stoopid. |

If you have reason to believe your life is in danger, you might be able to get into what's called "protective custody" -- that is, you go to jail because you're safer there then on the outside.
But you can't just go to the Statesville Pen and say "please lock me up". |

yes, of course. just confess to a crime that the police are trying to solve. but realize this, it is a lot harder to get out then it is to get in. |

I got your point. Usually people don't want to go to jail.
You probably need to build reputation and relations
with people so you go where they hang around.
It comes to my mind one idea that depending
on what you need to achieve - you can
research more about crimes.
You can claim that you did something,
while they have no witnesses it can be anybody. |

The law is a form of tyranny.

Yes, homeless people do this all the time. Shoplift a crazy amount of crap and hope the store detectives catch you. |

I don't think you can just walk into a prison and say 'please lock me up'.
I don't understand why you would want to go to prison anyway, but that's your business. Or maybe just a hypothetical question. So, if you really want to go to prison, just break the law. You don't even need to really hurt anyone. Shoplift a lot of stuff and go out of your way to get caught. If you're more daring, or REALLY want to be locked up for a while, rob a bank. |

lol why not commit a crime to get there if that's where you want to be!! And considering all the job loss I guess it might not be so bad and hey you don't even have to pay taxes! Or a electric, gas, gym, food or health bill-hummmm sounds alright! |

Where i come from,i knew someone who walked out of a prison farm and after a few hours decided it was not a smart move,so he went back to the farm and they told him to get lost that he could not come back in. He had to give himself up at a police station, the prison dept would not even give him a lift,he had to walk to the police. He got an extra 6 months. |
