my boyfriend wen to the skate park today and a firefighter claimed he had seen him light a fire on their boat! that is a complete lie! you can't even see the boat from the firehouse, where he claims he saw him. can my boyfriend get in trouble for this even though there is one witness? he also was not there when it happened. he was at home.

you people are ridiculous! dna? please. he def didn't do it. he is responsible and does not do stupid **** like starting a fire. that's something a kid would do. i am clearly not gonna get any good answers.

They don't even need a witness if they can tie him to the set fire by other evidence, including DNA!
He was at home is not a very compelling argument as most claim something like that, until the police can discredit that report. I am not saying it isn't true however.
You can be prosecuted on probable cause and an indictment. Whether they can prove it beyond a reasonable doubt is another issue!
