Wouldn't recommend calling 911 to check. 911 is normally reserved for emergency use only. Your local police station SHOULD have a non-emergency line that you can dial (commonly available in most phone books or on the 'Net)
In some areas your police station might have a "Calls for service" or "Active incidents" type section on their website (TPD does here, as well as HCSO) where you can see what they're being dispatched for. |

Why do you need to know? Doesn't sound like it's any of your business. Anyway, calling 911 without an emergency is a criminal offense. |

maybe the police were just scoping the area for run-aways on the loose or just patroling the area. There should be a non-emergency number or local police station number you can phone. |

Yes you can call them on 911 but it would be better to call your police station or the sheriff's office to find out if there is a problem. It would be better not to call 911 and tie up their line which is supposed to be for emergency use only. |
