Hypothetically speaking, if a person approaches me when I want to be undisturbed, and proceeds to inquire me about my beliefs, and I tell that person to leave me alone or else I'll call the police, and they continue to bother me, can I get a report on them?
I'm not necessarily saying I ever would, and I'm fairly certain if I told a random stranger to leave me alone or else I'd call the police that they would, but I'm just curious what the law is.

Oh yes - anytime you feel as if your space is invaded, you can sure speak to the police. They probably won't do anything. They'll write it down in their little book and see if they get more calls about the same guy.
A lot of law enforcement is just watching how many times the same guy does some weird thing before they intervene. |

If a person continues to pester you when you've made it clear you want them to leave you alone, it could be considered a form of harassment, in which case you could call a cop on them. In all honesty though, unless you're afraid for your safety, it'd be more hassle than it's worth. I'd just walk away from them and ignore them. |

it wouldn't matter whether they were an evangelical or not. they would be treated as any other person invading your space. There are no special laws for people witnessing to you. |

Yes.
If it is on your property, it would be trespassing. If it is not, it would be harassment. However, it would have to be a serious case of harassment for the police to actually do anything. |

I'm not sure about calling the cops on them the first time or second time but if it becomes harrassment I would definitely call the cops. I for one ride the subway in NYC and i cannot begin to tell you how many evangelicals get on the train screaming REPENT REPENT waving their bibles. It's 7:30 in the morning i'm trying to get my sleep on. It's so annoying! they should be arrested for distubing the sleep!

Yes. But Evangelicals are not nuts like a few others, so they typically don't bother people.
