I just moved to Phoenix, Arizona and I just found out that I have a warrant for a speeding ticket in Tomball, Texas. Will I have any trouble getting a drivers license here in Phoenix due to the fact that I have just a traffic warrant in Texas??

Traffic warrants for non-criminal offenses only appear in the state they are issued, Arizona will probably not even see it.
However, Texas may have suspended your license because you did not pay. If that is the case, Arizona will not issue a license. |

Not a problem. Go get your license in AZ.
BTW- I live near Tomball and the police there have a money making racket going. Traffic tickets are strictly a revenue generator in Tomball. It's not about safety as these idiot cops try to make you believe. I wish cops would just be honest about it for once and then I would not be so angry with them when they nail me for driving 5 miles over the speed limit. |

I really hate it when cops give out legal advice. If they were so legally talented then no criminal would stand a chance and no innocent person would have to fear them. Look call your state DMV they will tell you what you want to know. Each state has different rules for licensing so ignore the trooper and get the advice from the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles. Its his job, the info is free, and then you will know the facts before some donut chaser stops you and arrests you. |
