Can you use the trespass law against door to door missionaries?

If you have a front garden and place a sign saying missionaries approaching your front door are trespassing, does this have any legal standing?

Yes. Anyone who enters a property that has signs posted saying no trespassing is automatically trespassing.

surprisingly - it does...

If it's posted and it's legal and it is PRIVATE PROPERTY... they ARE in violation of the ordinance.

However .. Most missionaries will go away if you ask them to, directly and politely.
