Caught with a fake i.d, what will happen?

i was caught trying to get into a club last night (friday night) with someone elses i.d, my friend was caught doing the same, they confiscated the i.d's but only asked for my details and not hers, i gave them my name, but not my full surname, and an address that is the street i live in, but a house number that does not exist, as well as my suburb. they did not ask for any further identification or any numbers etc.. no police were involved. He said all this crap about getting a fine but another friend of mine was saying he was just trying to scare me.
Will anything happen? my friends told me that there is no way they will actually do anything, seeing as if they were they would have contacted the police straight away.
What do you think will happen? Has this happened to you?

only if the club wants to press charges you could get a fine..
if you borrowed someones ID they will contact that person.. and they will ask who borrowed it ..and if they don't want to face charges they will tell the police who they gave it to.. because i doubt if they want to take the blame,, |

Well, the owner of the ID can go get the ID from the club without any problem...If a cop did not show up or it was just confiscated by the bouncer or doorman..You have nothing to worry about.
The only time you get in trouble is if you begin to argue with the door man and they call the police. |

if you gave them false info then they cant really find you to charge you with anything. tell your friend whos ID you borrowed what happened and if they get questioned about it then tell your friend to deny everything and say they misplaced their ID and someone anonymous returned it the next day. |
