Children arrested for attempted murder?

I certainly agree there must be a breakdown in their family life, but I knew what murder was at 10. So should they.

A bad family life is no excuse to kill someone, and they need to be held accountable.

As far as the solution, there is only one... parents. The next adult a child normally relates with is a teacher. However, children develop morals at a very early age. By the time they start school, it is too late.

You and I are to blame for this, because we allow govt to make laws that enable children to defy parents and teachers and give them immunity against authority. Until we take control back and discipline kids at the time of the offence then nothing will change, it will only get worse. The do-gooders and bleeding hearts are making this situation worse. Take back control of your children or don't have any at all.

The parents are to blame, but if every parent was perfect, then you wouldn't have crimes in the first place.

It's how life is. I remember a story of a 7 year old who killed his mother and injured his father because he could't play Halo or GTA....

trooper is right, a bad family life is no excuse for murder. If a child knows what it is and knows the consequences, then they are just as guilty as an adult.

Thats why we have laws its not about how you feel its about law for the greater good. That will never change.

We all have feelings but if you govern by feelings you can't even rule yourself. You won't feel like getting up so you wont.

Example :President Obama while campaigning said " we will with draw from iraq within 3 to 6 months. and I will sit down with I'm a dinner jacket in Iran and negotiate."

After being elected and being informed of the threat that Iran is and how goofy the nut job from Iran is . Guess what we will not be out of Iraq anytime soon. Obama has also been told if you sit down at the table with a goofy person you will appear to be goofy.

When Obama ran for president he touched our heart as the person that could fix what ever is wrong. Thats why the lady got up and asked for a house and a car and money for her kids to go to school,in the town hall meeting. She was touched and Obama conveyed to her that he feels her pain.
Once he got into the oval office reality set in his informers told him the real scoop and that why they say politicians lie.
Obama didn't Lie in reality he was a group organizer that has never governed and wasn't an over seer of any thing. Thats why it looks like he Lied he promised more then he could deliver.

No touchy feely here . its like you buy an electric car to help the environment you feel good until you get the bill for plugging it in. You could have been driving a real car for half the price and when you go to find out how much it costs to replace the batteries %k you have a surreal moment.
Get over your feelings , the kid killed someone .

Sometimes the parents are to blame, but also sometimes it is the people they hang around. Even very young kids these days are acting like thugs, gang members among others. Unfortunately I believe this will get even worse in the future. I knew which was right and wrong from a very young age, and that anything I did wrong would have consequences to it. There is absolutely no excuse for murder period. I wish I knew how to stop this thuggery, but I do not.

10 year olds know what murder is.

The problem is liberals want to excuse people of their crimes and blame the crimes on everyone but the person who commits the crime.

The liberal public education system teaches that there is no right or wrong. When Al Gore visited a public school he told them they knew more about their parents about global warming and not to listen to them.

Thte public education system should focus on academics, not liberal social engineering that is leading to the downfall of America.

CHILDREN ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER? Do you know what attempted murder is? And the person responsible is merely 10 years old? I give you an example of attempted murder. A politician came out of his car suddenly one guy starting shooting him but unfortunately the politician wasn't hit and the guy is arrested for that felony attempted murder.

Now let us come to a 10 year old. How could a mere 10 yr. old think of killing another person? A 10 yr. old is still ok to play around like horsy-horsy and some roller blades skates yet here in your question he is arrested for attempted murder? A 15 or 17 yrs. old yes maybe but I couldn't believe a 10 yrs. old only? How about 5 yrs. old who attempted to kill the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES by equipping himself with powerful handguns. For me this is merely IMPOSSIBLE to believe such boys as young as 10 or maybe below 10 can think of killing another person. Unless this boys are TRAINED BY JASON himself of FRIDAY THE 13TH.

Unless there are actual mental illness issues, it all goes back to the parents. It is up to the parents to raise these kids properly, protect them from harm and illness and raise them with proper morals. I have seen more kids these past years that are all messed up because parents are too busy working as a 2 income family instead of one parent being there for the kids.

Gang Banging? Blame the parents.
Drug Abuse? Blame the parents
Murder? same thing.

My parents both worked, but Mom didn't go until after we were in school and she beat us home every day so she would be there. Difference is, my parents were willing to live within their means so that they could be good parents. But I could ramble on and on about this. You get my point.

Discipline starts at home. I can tell you when I was 10 I never had any thoughts of violence or murder, it simply was not a part of my make up. Now kids' minds are flooded with violence on television and violent video games, their brains are too young for that.
