Could I go to jail for this crime ?

best thing you can do is to apologize to the neighbours and write them a letter saying how sorry you are (even if don't like them) get them on your side as is a serious as what if there were kids in the garden. But we all have been young and all made silly mistakes so hope it won't effect your future.

Whatever you do, don't have an attitude, just be nice and polite as that will help you alot.

Also talk to the police and tell them you are so sorry and mean it and try and get someone on your side, like a youth worker or something who can help you out.

Wish you well and keep the air rifle indoors or get rid of it and hope you get into army.

Probably a fine the first time but when a stray pellet injures someone the next time and it very well could, you will go to jail for a felony.

no your fine, DO NOT kill an animals either then you will fiend, but I think your ok, it is illegal to have them in your back yard or something like that. do what I do, hide them and use them sparingly

ya you wouldn't go to jail for a pellet gun my brother uses a similar gun to shoot geese its not that big a deal. That is unless you were trying to harm someone and or kill them.

lol missiles, you wont go to jail unless somone was hurt and there pressing charges. youll get a measely fine of 40-100$.

Well, I got charged with a similar crime. When I was younger except we were shooting at passing cars and all we had to pay was for damages. The police officer scared the crap out of us so needless to say we never attempted that particular crime again.

i doubt if you will get jail time, i assume its your first offense and so it is even less likely you'll get jail for something as small as that, you might get a small fine tho.

Depending on the charges and the judges point of view it is very possible,you might receive a fine or even go to jail.Shooting a harmful weapon towards your neighbor could have cause a lot of harm.If someone was standing in front of that pellet gun,it could have been charged as a felony,because of the intent to do harm.I would really think twice about this next time.At this point the damage is already done ,if the police show up to court they are going to say what they think happened and this might not help you in court when you try to convince the judge.Good luck.

I assume that you are in a city doing this, so it would all depend on the city laws and by laws. who knows...did anyone press charges...that makes a difference as well. How old are you, that could make a difference too. So many things to consider. Let's hope not

Yes. They can hurt someone. Maybe if you sell your gun or get rid of it, and say you weren't doing anything you will not get arrrested
