It's illegal to call 911 if it's a prank. So considering the fact that people called 911 and you were just playing a prank then what you did is illegal.

guy ur an idiot. someone could have lost their life bc of u. it may have been a family heading home to dinner. if rescue had been at their accident they might have been saved. then thier lives would have been on ur hands when u r judged by the almighty god. u need to think next time.

A teacher in my area got arrested because he called and told his wife that he and his daughter were injured. She called 911 because she thought they were really injured. It was all over the news.

I don't know about your situation but some kids where I live DID get arrested for something like "Inducing public panic" or something from the prank they pulled. Here's what they did...I have NEVER been so horrified in my life watching something!

We were at a Wendys restaurant in the drive through. They get out, start pretending to yell, scream, so on and so forth and then one of them pulls out a "gun" and shoots a pretend bullet, they explode blood packs, and the one who was "shot" was stuffed into the trunk of the car and they speed off. Well...you can only imagine the scores of hysterical, traumatized, terrified people. 911 got dozens of calls, people were horrified, police starting dropping out of the trees, running lights and sirens thinking they had some shot teenager dying in the trunk of a car and they were in a race against time for this kid and as it turns out it was all a prank because they throught it was funny to go to a family shopping center and do this. You know - they were bored on a Saturday afternoon!!!!!!! They did not, however, think being arrested was such a f*cking funny thing!

So - technically those kids did not call 911 and make a false report and thus that was not their crime, but their actions and behavior caused panic and hysteria in others and that caught them.

While the prank may not get you arrested, the police can always find a way to get you when you behave like an *** hole!

While you had an ambulance and police busy with you're stupid stunt, it could have delayed them to someone who was in dire need of their assistance.

Multiple counts can be filed on all of you for this.

Same reason you can't start hollering FIRE in a crowded building for instance.

yes you could of been arrested for that prank-maybe got a slap on the wrist-but who cares-the real problem here is how would you feel if the medical emergency crew were needed somewhere else-and you took that person's only chance of living-how could you live with yourself-this act appears funny but it is a selfish act.
