Yes all you have to do is set your mind as to where you are at and mind your owe business and stay with your owe race. Some of the guards can be real @ssholes and you just have to make up your mind that you are a better person than the guards are.

1st of all,hopefully i don't/wouldn't do anything to put myself in that type of environment.

Secondly,
No i wouldn't survive.
I'm sick all the time and can barely move sometimes,not to mention the days i forget who,what and where i am.

I would be 1 of the 1's taken advantage of or i hate to say this,since i believe no one has the right to take a life,but i would kill myself in one of my lucid times.

its not a nice place and it depend what you did to go to prison . child rapist go protect custody.that way they are seperated from the general population.

I hope I never have to find out. All I know is if anyone messes with you, you have to fight back no matter what. And, rather your racist or not you have to try to make friends with people that look like you. Or you can be a martyr.

Happy to say i will never have to. as an answer to your question no one can honestly answer this unless they have been in. it is easy to assume they could do handle it but until they are sitting in a cell and the bars slam closed letting you know you are home, no one could know.

Well now that would depend largely on the custody level of the prison in question and somewhat on whether it is a state or federal institution. Most people who have never been inside a prison base their opinions on misperceptions and stereotypes of what they see on TV. Most prisons are routinized, regimented and if you lay low and follow the rules you can pretty much stay under the radar, do your time and get out. I love to read all the comments about "not bending over in the shower" and "Bubba's gonna straighten you out" written here clearly by people who've never set foot inside. Not to say that stuff doesn't happen in prisons, but not nearly to the level the average person assumes, at least not in your "average" prison.

Retired Law Ennforcement, and Military ~ Never. I would be insane. I have never been arested or had a ticket. Only jails I have seen are from a work stand point. It would be devastating

Yes, I could survive it. I worked in one for years until I was able to retire.

When you work in a prison its the same as doing time, since you are locked in there with them.
