When my car was vandalised I got a crime number over the phone. I didn't get a police car parked outside my house for over 12 hours.
So yes it must be one rule for the rich and another for the rest of us. |

Yes u got it right there! Money talks big time. My neighbour had his car vandalised and police came out 2 days later! |

Actually, there's some evidence that the police in this country target the wealthy middle classes as they know they're more likely to pay up etc. if charged with stuff because they're terrified of getting a criminal record. The criminal classes, by contrast, usually don't bother turning up at court or paying their fines.
But I think the British police 'service', once the finest force in the world, has gone utterly ****-up and is now failing everyone badly. To prove my point, look no further than the bloke who complains he got a crime number when he reported vandalism to his car, or listen to the insulting adverts on the radio exhorting you to not park your car outside your house or have any big plant pots etc. Ilogical, defeatist crap. |

If you're property was vandalised as a means to amplify ongoing ill-will & threats against your person then yes, the police would pay attention - you might end up with many hours of police attention.
The supposition that this is comparable to a standard act of untargeted vandalism cannot be supported. |

I think in the case of that unethical, rich b****rd, it was more the media attention that this caused that lead to the police presence. |

Its a bit sad when you need to ask such an obvious question. The most disturbing part is when the "rich" are the accused they tend to get away with the crime or the charge is lesser.Certain footballers come to mind. |

Money talks that's obvious. People in my village have had things vandalised and stuff stolen and they are still waiting for the police to turn up, 6 months and counting. |
