I think you did the right thing though you may have caused your son alot of trouble.

Your son probably will be mad for a while, but really you did right by hopefully getting another kid scared enough to stop what he was doing. Good job!

You are 100% right!!! You did what I would have done, but I myself wouldn't have waited for the meeting I would have contacted the police myself.
You were looking out for your son's best interests, but since this came to his phone and his friends are upset if I were you I would be monitoring him for a while, because this would raise lots of flags for me as to why the guy has your sons cell # anyways and why did he feel confident enough to make the offer to your son.
But for you, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!! We all need to be as good of parents as you seem to be, too bad in today's society so many parents fail their kids in so many ways, We the parents are the first in the line of defense for our kids and the first ones who should be teaching them right from wrong.

you did the right thing, but just watch out for your son and make sure he watches his surroundings. some kids don't play, and will take that very seriously and could start messing with your child and blame him. so just be watchful.

ok, so now you've had your little Angela Lansbury moment, lets see what you've done. five years from now your son will still be the guy who narked whatshisname. you've lost something that you will never really get back. your son's trust. hopefully you don't lose the son as well, never know what kind of circle the dealer guy runs in. you could have seriously jeopardized his safety.

I think you were 100% correct. Later in life your son will realize how right you were and I think it is great that you are trying to keep your son and family safe. Many parents today are not taking care of their children and that is why so many kids are doing drugs, smoking, drinking, and getting pregnant. I can bet that if more parents were involved, less bad things would be happening to our youth.

Absolutely! I would probably have done the same thing too. Tell your son not to worry too much about his High school friends. He will probably never even see most of them again after graduation.

One of those lessons for kids that really to take, no matter what they say. I lectured my kid about downloading stolen music and movies. He understood but pointed out that, when his brother set up my computer, he used an operating system that was essentially pirated with an installer's registration key. Had to by my own copy. It doesn't matter how he feels about marijuana. It's a demonstration that, knowing something will have some pain, you can do it anyway. He hears.

as a parent maybe you should have addressed ur kid about it.
and as for his friends they obviously do drugs so if they are cut off of course they will be pissed. they will probaly get over it but im not sure.
but u did the responisble thing in your position.
if u werent on the crime watch commite then i say u should have ignored it though.

but kids are not going to stop taking them would ever you do

it good to play your part in a crime watch group but leave the dope heads to ruin there own life there is nothing you can do or say to stop them from retaking it
