Find answers to your legal question.

Did you deserve the last ticket you got?

Be honest now. We all complain when we get stopped, but thinking about it......did you honestly deserve the last citation you got?

I deserved every ticket I've received thus far, I had an operation to get the lead out of my foot, it seems to be working.

Got drunk, slid off the road, side-swiped a telephone pole, bounced off a tree, came to rest up against a 2006 Chevy 4x4. Yes, I would say I deserved it. I'm thankful that I didn't hurt anyone, or myself.

I defintely deserved mine, and I have deserved several more (likely I didn't get all of them). I know when I deserve the ticket and I don't even bother with making up a story, crying, or any other way to try to get out of a ticket.

Demon Doll
I've never gotten a ticket.

Of Course

It was a toss up. I fought an $80.00 ticket and after a year got it reduced to $15.00. It was not the money, but the principle of the stop and the officer's attitude. That was more than 10 years ago.

80 in a 55. $177 excessive speed ticket. Absolutely I deserved it! 67 in a 55 6 years prior deserved that one too.

There ARE DUI quotas. My father was an State officer and had to have x number of DUI arrests every month.

no the timing was off on the red light camera so i was legally in the intersection when it took my pic. I would have gone to court but i was deploying in a few days. The last two i deserved i was speeding, the last two times i have been pulled over i deserved a ticket but i was let go.

Common Sense
No...
I did NOT...

Prickles McGee
If 80 in a 55 is a ticket-worthy offense, then yes, I guess so.

Cookie Dog
I started driving at 18, I am now over 50 and have never gotten a ticket. Amazing how obeying the law has worked for me.

I deserved the ticket I received.

There is a lil myth I would like to correct.......they do not have quota's!!

I guess not...

All I did was show up in court with pictures and all, and the prosecutor dropped it in a second.. without even looking at my pictures!

They're so used to the cops filling their quotas on petty, unproven charges

no, as a matter of fact. it was a parking ticket, and the meter either ran fast or wasn't expired at the time the ticket was issued.
but it was only for $25, and they made you jump through no end of hoops to challenge it, and then it's your word against the parking officers. They know most people won't bother for so little money, so they don't worry about screwing the public.

Eagleflyer
No. Buncha local county cops looking to fill a quota.
