A television show is created to be entertaining, not realistic, so the odds are it is not accurate. Many people falsely believe these shows are real which causes problems. Police work takes a lot longer and lot more hard work than depicted, and most of it is tedious and boring, unlike what you see on TV.
Just look at the CSI craze. So many people believe the stuff tehy see that everyone wants to grow up and be a CSI. The reality is half of the technologies they use don't exist, and the other half takes weeks and months to work which make the hour long case solving 100% inaccurate and false. |
