Georgia does not offer traffic school as an option for keeping the ticket off your driving record. For a speeding ticket, the judge may offer to reduce your speed by 3-5 mph to keep it under the "less than 14 mph over the limit" requirement for reporting to insurance companies. The catch is you'll usually only get this kind of leniency with a guilty plea. |

Well in live in Colorado and went to court 2 days ago, as i was listening to the judge, there were people who took the classes before they went to court and the judge was really happy so he reduced the points from 4 to 1, along with the fines, other people were planning on taking it, it reduced it from 4 to 2, with no reduction in fines, once they proved completion. i hope this helps. :) |

As far as I know ..yes you have to appear before judge.......bit not necessarily require to take DD classes.. |

in CAL you want to go to defensive driving school but you must appear in court first and plead guilty and ask to attend the school. this will prevent DMV from attaching points to your record. but this also depends on how many moving violations you have. i think you can attend the defensive driving school once every 3 years.
buy a radar detector (valentine one) is one of the better ones, it pays for itself. good luck |

I don't know how Georgia works.
In California, After you get the sitation..a letter is mailed to your address.
It will have instructions on what to do.
Here you can pay online. When you pay online or by mail, you can request traffic school. They will then send you a list. You choose which school to use. Once your completion of certificate is mailed to the courts, it will be removed from your record and then it will not cost you any points from your driving record. |

why go to court ??? all you have to do is tell them you want to do traffic school ONLINE and then do it and then pay your fine..THEN you don't have points on your license (you didn't READ the ticket ???) |
