I live in NSW, Australia, and am interested in becoming an IT Specialist in the NSW Police Force. However, i was wondering if i can join the IT department straight away, or do i have to become a front-line police officer first, or can i choose what i want to do?

Hi, I believe I answered an earlier question of yours about the same thing. A majority of people who work in BTS (NSW Police Force IT department) are civilians (not police officers) with relevant IT qualifications.
So yes, you can join straight away. |
