THey go for the easiest thing, they usually scope out the area that they are going to rob for about a week ahead on time. |

I think that burglars will go for the path of least resistance, and burglars usually stake out their targets well in advance. So, if they spot a second-floor apartment that they suspect is easy to get into, I would think they would go for it. |

Not usually. They are always looking for a quick in and quick out. |

burglars rob apartments that are easily accessible. thats why it may cost a few bucks more to live on higher floors of apartment buildings. its easier for them to get away if they rob the first floor. |

I doubt that they'd want to try for a second floor apartment.
The escape route would be just to risky. Way to much work for them!
But now I know you live on the second floor!!! LOL
You'd have a better chance of someone stealing your heart than robbing your second floor apartment! Unless you leave the door unlocked and then that would be a no no! |

If the burglars went above the first floor maybe its those pesky politicians again......
Seriously second floors tend to be safer (except in election years <g>).

1st floor apartments are usually locked up due to being on the 1st floor. So, I believe burglars go to the next vulnerable apartments; The 2nd floor. |

a place that I lived in when I was a kid was robbed on the 1st floor..easy access when the cops came they found a knife near the door. |

probably not, not an easy get away. |

They normally don't because it's not easily accessible but I'm sure a desperate addict would try anything if he/she thought it would get them more drugs.I would still lock the windows and doors if you live in a moderate to high crime area. |

Burglars rob easily accessible homes/businesses. |

Only if they are a cat burglar. |

if they're desperate enough...they'll go to the 249th floor if necessary! |

If someone is negligent enough to leave a window or something. A thief is a thief no matter the floor... |

they probably check all of the doors and windows on the first floor,if thay don't have any luck there than thay work their way up.did you close and lock your windows tonight. |

Usually they look for the easy target. If it happens to be a second floor apartment that is easily accessible, I suppose they would rob it. |

burglars will rob any apartment that has easy access via doors or windows, so never take anything for granted April some of these guys are highly sophisticated and very skilled at what they do. Lock up tight girl OK. |

No. Only 3rd floor apartments. Hehehe! |

Not typically since most times the only way in is through the front door. Typical street burglars usually have just enough smarts to pry open a window. |

Typically not. But if there is something they want then yes! YOU know like those ruby slippers! |
