Do curfew law apply if you are just outside in the backyard exercising? please help... cops always drive by?

I dont have enough time to exercise during the day and cant sleep well if I don't exercise.

So I jump rope in my backyard at night (10-11pm).

the curfew for my city is 10 pm. I have been stopped by police for curfew once.

could they stop and question/search discipline me if they saw me in my backyard jumping rope at night? I got nothing to hide and dont really care but it just worries me.

im only 17.

Any area that is considered part of your families property it is ok. As long as you don't make too much noise and disturb neighbors.

if you are on your families property you will be fine.

No, they can't say anything because you're on your own property. You're not doing anything illegal. The only thing they could do is stop you and ask what you're doing. But if they tell you to go inside...I just don't think they have the right to do that.

Unknown's answer is correct. Unless you're walking down the street or in a car, in the park (somewhere on public property) you're fine. Heck, you could even go to a FRIEND'S house and jump rope in the front yard! Weeeee!
