Do police departments give any rewards/benefits to officers in order to deter corruption and corrupt behavior?

I was wondering if police departments give officers any sort of reward or benefit in order to deter and steer officers away from corruption and corrupt behaviors...?

such as more hours to work, or any benefit at all?

it would be great if you could also include a website, article or any source that talks about any benefits/rewards...

Police Officers are not meant to be "corrupt".
They are appointed to serve and represent the community in which they serve.
So no, they do not get any anti-corruption payments.

Let me ask you a question to answer your question. If you owned a business and had several employees who worked for you and they all had the same job. What would you do to get more production for more profit ? Would you say " Give them an incentive ", like Officer of the year! / Most DWI's award ! Would this not work? I may have misunderstood your question but do you see my point?

No. As a police officer, you are expected to do your job and uphold the law.

Cavey what do you think is going to happen to you when you place a call over the radio stating you are in need of assistance? Do you think that your buddies, who you ratted out are going to respond? Do you think that the "officer" who you steered away from crime & corruption has your back now? What do you think the "rewards" for narcing out your hog brethren are? No. Police Officers are chosen and monitored by the Departments that they work for. There is an extensive selection process. You don't just fill out an application and go to an interview then become an Officer. There is no benefit for "being good".

No, just the satisfaction, that man next you is beyond reproach!!!! As a unknown rule, more officer complain on each other then everyday citizens! Unlike people think, there is no "Thin blue line" as it pertains to officer knowingly allowing other officer to do wrong!

When we talk about the "Thin Blue Line" we are speaking of the line we have drawn in the sad to protect, those who are about the right thing and those who are not!
