No I do not. Their tough luck if they get caught speeding. |

?

Just like Copgirl stated - but mine are Red, White, and Blue (just bustin' sista'). ;o)
Seriously - NYS that is a violation VTL 375 which I have enforced quite often - when one unit is enforcing westbound and I am enforcing eastbound - he gets the speed, I get the flasher! |

i dont drive yet but even if i do I wouldnt. the cops are just doing their jobs. Speeders are usually bad *** kids who threaten society. Im not going to get into a lecture but one day a speeder will run someone over or wreck your car. |

Yes, I flash the blue ones. |

Depends on the time of day (if it's night I do), and how quickly I realize the officer is there, and how close the on coming car was. Usually I try to be nice, what goes around comes around, and I'd hope people would warn me... |

I do sometimes, I am one of those who would rather the police be out there catching the real criminals instead of speeders. |

no
if they are speeding, they deserve a ticket |
|

IC core? Give it a coat!!!

I'm confused as to what is "illegal", activating the "brights" or warning of a officer's presence? |

NO...haven't you heard of the gang initiation urban legend?? I never flash my lights at ANYBODY...
Plus, police officers are just doing their jobs...don't do anything dumb and they won't pull you over...it's that easy. |

Yep, if in a car. On my bike I tap my helmet with my fist. The sport bike riders seem to comprehend that. I've been thinking about carrying warning signs with me to put out on the road once I spot a speed trap. "Warning Speed Trap Ahead".
It irritates me the cops seem to have plenty of time to sit out on the highway setting up a speed trap, but if you want them to deal with illegal aliens well they're just too busy to deal with that. If they want to write some traffic violations why don't they start pulling over those morons for improper lane usage driving 15 mph under the limit in the passing lanes, and impeding the traffic. |

You can be ticketed, and how do you know you're not flashing an unmarked car. |

Yes, I usually warn others of police officers ahead. Whether you think it's right or wrong, it's a form of free speech. And I think it's safer for people to slow down a bit more gradually if they know there's a cop ahead, rather than be unwarned and slam on the brakes when they see the cop sitting there.
Some of the people who have already answered this question are very naive. And some of you who said it's wrong to warn other drivers and that speeders get what they deserve are probably the same people who talk on a cellphone, or apply make-up, or text message while driving, drive too slow in the fast lane, fail to yield or otherwise try to kill me out on the roads, especially when I'm on my motorcycle.
There are far more dangerous things going on out on the roads today than the average speeder. Why can't the cops concentrate on those things? |
